Instructions vary depending on vehicle but all use very simple a short series of simple actions easily found in the user manual. No tools or programmers of any kind are required.

All Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles require one existing, working remote paired to the vehicle to complete the pairing sequence of the Universal Car Remote (to be used as the second remote).
